Warranty

All complete subwoofers have a 5 year warranty including the amplifier, which will transfer to new owners pending notification of Deep Sea Sound within 30 days of transferred sale.  A SpeakerPower amp purchased separate from a complete subwoofer will have a standard SpeakerPower 2 year warranty with warranty work provided by SpeakerPower.  This warranty shall not apply to any product that has been subject to misuse, neglect, accident, or abnormal conditions of operation.

All returns will require prior return authorization, which may be requested via support@deepseasound.com or 865-240-2500.

The enclosure will be warrantied against manufacturing defects such as delaminating veneer.  Extensive pictures and communication will be needed to determine the extent of the issue and the appropriate course of action.  If a new enclosure must be shipped, the original enclosure would be expected in return using the crate provided for shipping the new enclosure.  The existing enclosure is expected to be in good condition; an enclosure returned in poor condition will render the remaining warranty on the complete subwoofer void.  An enclosure exchange would require the removal of the subwoofer driver and amplifier.  Deep Sea Sound would provide handles to support the removal of the subwoofer as well as instructions and phone support to ensure the exchange is done correctly.  This isn't difficult but would require a pair of strong people to remove and replace the subwoofer driver without damage.  Deep Sea Sound would pay for shipping the replacement enclosure as well as return shipping for the old enclosure.

The driver is warrantied against manufacturing defects.  Damage due to playing synthetic signals at high volume for more than a few seconds is not warrantied.  If a driver must be replaced under warranty, a new driver will be sent and the old driver must be returned in the same packaging.  Deep Sea Sound would provide handles to support the removal of the subwoofer as well instructions and phone support to ensure the exchange is done correctly.  This isn't difficult but would require a pair of strong people to remove and replace the subwoofer driver without damage.  Deep Sea Sound would pay for shipping the replacement driver as well as return shipping for the old driver.

The amplifier in a complete subwoofer is warrantied against manufacturing defects.  Damage due to misuse, neglect, accident, or abnormal conditions of operation is not warrantied.  If the amplifier must be replaced under warranty, the existing amplifier must be returned for testing.  If the amplifier is found to have damage beyond manufacturing defects, the remaining warranty on the complete subwoofer will be void.  Email and phone support will be provided by Deep Sea Sound to assist in the proper replacement of the subwoofer amplifier.  Deep Sea Sound would pay for shipping the replacement amplifier as well as return shipping for the old amplifier.
