Introducing the newest member to the Mariana family of sealed subwoofers. Our subwoofers are known for being exceptionally powerful yet articulate. Our newest subwoofer, the Mariana 18SA is constructed of 3/8” 6061-T6 aluminum and welded to be completely inert. Aluminum is four times as dense as the high-quality Baltic Birch plywood we use in our wooden enclosures. While density is important, bracing is more important, and our enclosures have exceptional bracing with the end result being an enclosure that allows the subwoofer to perform exceptionally well, without sound coloration.

Another advantage of our aluminum enclosure is the aluminum is half the thickness of our wood enclosures, which results in less material inside the enclosure and 16% more airspace for the driver as compared to our wood enclosures. So our exceptional carbon fiber driver will have more airspace to perform even better with the same enclosure dimensions.

The Mariana 18SA has more output than any other sealed home theater subwoofer on the market; more powerful than many of our competitor's 21" subwoofers based on a comparison of CEA 2010-A test results. With 4,000 watts of sustained power and the same magnet/motor assembly as the 24" driver, this 18" subwoofer provides prodigious amounts of tight, clean, articulate bass.

The strong aluminum enclosure would be coated in exceptionally durable and scratch resistant powder coating in your choice of hundreds of standard colors, holographic colors, and even textures.

Please contact us at sales@deepseasound.com or 865-240-2500 to order or for any questions.  Payment can be made via PayPal or credit card.

The aluminum enclosures are built to order and require additional lead time for water jet cutting the aluminum, welding of the enclosure, and powder coating. We would prioritize the aluminum subwoofers to complete as soon as possible but may need up to 12 weeks before shipment.  Freight shipping is an additional charge.

Features

CEA 2010-A Test Results

CEA 2010-A test results can generally be compared but they shouldn't be used as absolute comparisons as there will be differences between test setups and different sets of measurements.  Our measurements follow the CEA 2010-A specifications since historically, more measurements utilize this standard vs the newer and less stringent CEA 2010-B test standards.  Even though we follow the CEA 2010-A results, we do provide additional test results for 8, 10, 12.5, and 16 Hz since our subwoofers have capability well below the standard 20 Hz.

These results are out in the middle of a field to ensure no reflections interfere with the results.  In a room, the bass below 20 Hz will be reinforced because the bass waves won't easily leave a room.  With room-reinforced bass, the Mariana 18SA is flat to 9 Hz in a room with reference level output.
